Linden Vineyards is located at the beginning of
the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northwestern Virginia. Alexis and Chris have taken many
a trip to enjoy the mountain air, sample the latest releases, and stock up on wines.
On May 10, 2003--Alexis and Chris took a trip to
Linden, which included lunch on their terrace cafe and a stroll through the grounds.
With a hilltop view of the vineyard and gentle mist of rain coming down from the
mountains, Alexis accepted a proposal of marriage from Chris.
Alexis and Chris met in January of 1999 and
began dating a few months later. They were introduced by a mutual friend, Zara
Shulman. Zara and Chris attended George Washington University together for a few
years until Zara transferred to the University of Vermont where she and Alexis met and
became friends. Zara moved back to Washington DC after graduation and rekindled her
freindship with Chris, who was still living in the area. Alexis moved to Washington
in January, 1999 to attend Graduate school at the American University.
Alexis, Chris, Zara, and Wayne (a close friend
who attended GW with Chris and Zara) spent a lot of time together over the next months.
At the same time, the relationship between Chris and Alexis developed into a strong
friendship and then into somehting much more. |
